KINDERGARTEN
ROUND UP

The age requirement for Kindergarten has been changed beginning in the 2012-13 school year.  Students who become five (5) years of age on or before July 31st are eligible to be considered for enrollment in any of the kindergarten classes offered.  Students with a birthday between August 1st and October 1th may be screened by the local public school district to determine if they are ready for Kindergarten.  The parent is responsible for contacting the public school to schedule screen and sharing the results of the screen with the Archdiocesan school.  Any parent interested in this screening should contact Rhonda Haitz, OPS secretary at 402-557-2443.  She will send a packet to the parent, who must complete the paper work and return the completed forms to OPS.

Each school district will determine what fees will be charged for the assessment, as of now OPS will not charge any student who lives in the OPS district.
