Mr. Marlan Burki - Principal (e-mail)

Mr. Burki comes to us with 20 years of teaching experience at the middle school level. Along with his wife, Cindy, he has also raised 3 boys of his own. Mr. Burki received his Masters degree from the University of Nebraska at Omaha the summer of 2006 and earned a Bachelors degree from Chadron State College in 1981. Besides his educational experience he has spent several years outside of the school yard fence working as an insurance agent, caterer and middle manager in the corporate world, but, he always seemed to gravitate back to school.

Mrs. Miki Theiler - Preschool 3-year olds

Mrs. Miki began the preschool program in the second year of the All Saints consolidation. She grew up in the area and attended one of our original parishes--St. Ann for grade school and then Cathedral High School. She attended Metro and UNO and has a degree in Early Childhood Education. Mrs. Miki is married and has four children: Maggie, Nina, Lauren and Ben. She loves teaching at All Saints because the parents, children and the staff all feel like extended family.

Mrs. Cis Eberhardt - Kindergarten

Mrs. Eberhardt has been in the Omaha Archdiocese for 26 years. Her husband, Larry, works for Omaha Public Schools, and they have 2 married daughters who are very busy with jobs and family.  In her free time, she enjoys taking classes in horticulture, gardening, and canning the produce from her garden.  Mrs. Eberhardt says, "Kindergarten is an amazing time to explore nature and begin the skills needed for the years to come. All Saints is a wonderful place to teach.  I have made life-long friends whom I will treasure."

Mrs. Eberhardt was awarded the 2008 Educator of the Year for Service to Inner-City and Special Needs Schools.

Mrs. Jennifer Nymann - 3rd Grade

Mrs. Nymann grew up in Council Bluffs, and graduated from Creighton University in 1995. She taught previously at Madonna School for Exceptional Children for 3 years. Mrs. Nymann is married, and has three children: Olivia, Catelyn, and Madison. She loves teaching at All Saints because the classes are nice-sized, and everyone in the school knows each other it feels like family.


Mrs. Amy Hornberg - 4th Grade

Ms. Hornberg graduated with her elementary education degree from Loras College in Dubuque, Iowa.  She has worked with many ages of students, and most recently at St. Patrick's School in Missouri Valley, IA.  She was previously the 5th Grade teacher at All Saints.

She lives in Council Bluffs with her husband and two sons.

Ms. Gayle Spackman - 6th Grade Homeroom / 6-8 Literature, Social Studies

Ms. Spackman has taught Junior High literature & social studies at All Saints since 2001.  She earned a Master of Science degree from the University of Nebraska Omaha and is certified to teach elementary and special education.  Ms. Spackman has taught in the Omaha area for 20 years adn has one child, Justin, who graduated magne cum laude from the University of Nebraska Lincoln in 2008.  She especially enjoys having ASCS alumni visit and volunteer in her classroom.
 

 
Mr. Mike Concannon - 7th Grade Homeroom / 6-8 Math, Science

Mr. Concannon has been a teacher in the Omaha Archdiocese for over 30 years.  This is the second time that he taught at All Saints.  He was the teacher at Catholic Southeast (the name of our school before it became All Saints) for seven years, and then for five years when it became All Saints.  He is glad to be back working at All Saints since he really enjoys teaching the kids and it is very close to his home parish of St. Joseph.
 

Ms. Jackie Slade - 8th Grade Homeroom / 6-8 English, Religion

Mr. Mark Morello - Music, Liturgist, Library Coordinator

Mr. Morello will be teaching music classes from the Preschool to eighth grades using a combination of the Music and You and K-8 music curriculums.  In addition, we will explore Music and Theatre forms through live performance and recorded media.  In addition to teaching music class, he is also the liturgist for All Saints. Mr. Morello, with the help of student mentors, assists in the training of students in lector ministry, altar serving as well as directing the All Saints Honor Choir.  He also coordinates our annual Christmas Concert and production aspects of our spring fundraiser. 

Mr. Morello is very active in several local artistic companies and in addition, is the choir director for St. Frances Cabrini Church.  He is an animal lover and works faithfully with Doberman Rescue of Nebraska.

Our students have tremendous talent and spirit and I am really looking forward to sharing that with them and we make our way through new musical discoveries.  I am also looking forward to working with our students and their talents in the areas of music ministries, the Liturgy of the Word, as well as service on the altar of the Lord.


Mrs. Janet Frederick - Reading Coordinator

Mrs. Trish Finley - Technology

Trish Finley comes to All Saints Catholic School with 34 years of teaching experience.  She taught 13 years in the regular classroom and 10 years as a Gifted Facilitator for the Omaha Public Schools.  She received her BA in Elementary Education from the University of Northern Colorado, Greeley, Colorado; an endorsement in Gifted Education from Creighton University and a Masters degree in Instructional Technology from Peru State.  Trish and her husband John have two married children, a boy in heaven, and 7 precious grandchildren.  In 2009 Trish was selected one of eight Innovative Educators from all across the country.  This prestigious award was given to Trish by Tech 4 Learning, a creative software company, for her continual innovative and creative technology ideas shared with students.  Trish has helped in the assembling of the state of art computer lab at All Saints. The lab door is always open for visitors.


Ms. Theresa Kehler - P.E. / Bus Driver (E-mail)
Years at All Saints:  8

Ms. Kehler is the Physical Education teacher and the schools bus driver.  Ms. Kehlers PE program promotes students to become physically active and physically educated to make informed healthy decisions.  Ms. Kehler received her Bachelor of Science degree from Colorado State University in Fort Collins, Colorado; she has been called back to her native Nebraska roots. She loves to be outside with nature and living near the Missouri river. Ms. Kehler has one son Cory Starkey. As a family they enjoy bicycling and spending time outside. 

Ms. Kehler has been involved with coaching swimming, coaching volleyball, summer camps as a Program director and outdoor education.
