All Saints Catholic School Bus Safety tips

Rule # 1 Respect yourself, others, and things

(Good manners, polite language, listening and keeping bus clean)

Rule # 2 Contribute to the learning environment and safety of the Bus

(Head, hands and feet inside, sit down, quiet conversations, no wrestling, no tickling, no singing, no chanting, no rapping, and no drumming)

Rule # 3 Follow Bus Procedure

(Share a seat, say morning Prayer, release seats in order, Walk,

No electronics! No food, candy, gum or drink!)

Tips for added Safety

Tip #1 Start being safe before getting on the bus, pack backpack the night before and be on time for the bus

Tip #2 Walk safely, Stay on the sidewalk, wait for signal to enter the bus and cross in front of the bus.

Tip #3 Stay Out of the DANGER ZONE of the bus, 10 feet in all directions

Tip #4 Never push or shove on the bus, one at a time on the steps

Tip #5 Be a safe rider, sit and look out the window, talk quietly

Tip #6 Be nice to each other on the bus, even if you do not know their name.

Tip #7 Show Respect for the Driver and the bus. DO NOT talk to the Bus Driver.

Tip #8 Keep the aisle clear while students are getting on or getting off the bus.

Tip #9 Be prepared for an emergency exit (similar to fire drill at school)
